Kevin Marz discussed the management and leadership of techonolgy companies with Gannon University students, faculty, and guests
Kevin Marz, CEO of Lumious, an Erie-based industry-leading, authorized Cisco, Apple and MEF training company known for quality instruction, content development expertise, and innovative training solution designs, spoke to Gannon University students, faculty and guests about the management and leadership of technology companies on Wednesday, January 29. The presentation was the first in a series of speakers for the Executive Leadership course that is being offered this semester in the Dahlkempber School of Business.
Dr. George Couch, Assistant Teaching Professor, and instructor of MGMT 399, Executive Leadership, said "it is important for our students to hear from a variety of experts representing different businesses and organizations in order to learn about the variety of effective management and leadership styles. We were delighted to have Kevin Marz speak to our students about his experience in leadership across the country and now in Erie."
Mr. Marz discussed the importance of building trust and engagement with today's high-tech employees. He described methods that he uses, and the challenges he faces, to manage and motivate the companies 12 permanent employees and 50 contractors who work both in Erie and in remote locations around the United States.
