GU students and faculty attend the 2023 ASME IMECE conference
Students Nishant Thakkar (Industrial Engineering), Shubhankar Desai (Industrial Engineering), Vijay Javvaji (Biomedical Engineering), and Irati Arzalluz (Biomedical Engineering), joined Dr. Davide Piovesan (Associate Dean, College of Engineering and Business) and Dr. Longyan (Larry) Chen (Assistant Professor, Biomedical Engineering) in presenting works ranging from the synthesis of plastic from beer spent grain (BSG), the creation of composite material with BSG and Mushroom Mycelia, and the creation of new materials for 3D printing. The team also discussed new rehabilitation devices and the construction of a flight simulator.
Research was funded by a grant from the PA Manufacturers' Association.
