Camp Gannon: Learning that lasts a lifetime
Gannon’s accomplished faculty, coaches and student-athletes have an immeasurable supply of knowledge, wisdom and talent just waiting to be shared. With camp offerings spanning both academic and athletic interests for children ages 5 to 18, Camp Gannon makes summer learning fun, easy and more convenient than ever.
Camp Gannon offerings include popular summer camps that teach skills on both the individual and team levels to eager young athletes who are hungry to improve in basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, acrobatics and tumbling, cross country, softball, baseball, swimming and diving, and lacrosse.
There are also academic camps that will be conducted in Gannon’s exceptional learning environments such as the Center for Communication and the Arts, the Forensic Investigation Center, and the Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge. These camps range from learning cybersecurity skills, to writing, to exploring global challenges and leadership and more.
Support received from Erie Insurance as part of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program allowed the university to make some of these summer programs free for students to register and enjoy. These include the Understanding Manufacturing Technologies Camp, Ride Science – The Science Behind the Scenes Camp, and the Summer Educational Experience Camp – all of which are aimed to introduce middle and high school students to exploring the STEM fields through applied project-based experiences.
