Gannon University Commencement
Gannon University invites high school seniors considering pursuing a degree at Gannon to participate in a virtual academic contest related to their anticipated field of study. Gannon will provide four-year awards to winning participants that will range between $500-$3,000 annually.
There will be four contest categories available to participants:
- Health Professions & Sciences Contest | Nov. 5: Open to high school seniors considering pursuing a health or science degree.
- Engineering & Computing Contest | Nov. 5: Open to high school seniors pursuing an engineering, computing or cyber degree. Students will individually compete in a contest comprised of questions in the fields of biomedical, environmental, industrial & robotics, and mechanical engineering; or computer science, cyber engineering, cybersecurity, electrical engineering and software engineering.
- Business Contest | Nov. 12: Open to high school seniors considering pursuing a business degree.
- Humanities, Education & Social Sciences Contest: Contest dates will be announced soon. It will be open to high school seniors pursuing a degree in advertising communication, criminal justice, digital media communication, education, English, foreign language, history, journalism communication, legal studies, mortuary science, philosophy, political science, pre-law, psychology, public relations, public service & global affairs, social work, theatre, theology, writing or are exploring program options.
Students must be high school seniors at the time of the contest and enroll as full-time undergraduates at Gannon University directly upon graduation from high school to receive the award money.
