GIVE Day will take place at Erie locations such as the Regional Science Consortium and Our West Bayfront neighborhoods, Presque Isle and Sisters of St. Joseph; and in Ruskin locations such as RVR Horse Rescue, Sun Towers Retirement Community and the Feeding Tampa Bay Mobile Food Pantry.
GIVE Day is also scheduled to coincide with International Coastal Clean-Up, a worldwide effort to clean coastal shores of debris. Erie volunteers will gather at Presque Isle State Park and the Erie Bluffs State Park to participate in this initiative.
“Gannon is proudly celebrating its 25th year of GIVE Day with our largest turnout of volunteers and locations to date! We are excited to once again partner closely with the Our West Bayfront for a variety of projects in our very own neighborhood, as well as long-standing partners across the Erie area and in Ruskin, Florida,” said Program Coordinator for Gannon’s Center for Social Concerns and Global Exploration, Sara Nesbitt.
GIVE Day in Erie begins with a rally at 8 a.m. in Gannon’s Highmark Events Center before volunteers head out to their service sites across the city from 9 a.m. to noon.
