Our West Bayfront to Host Gridley Park National Night Out on August 3
National Night Out 2021 - United Way of Erie County
Our West Bayfront will host Gridley Park National Night Out – the West Bayfront’s largest community get-together – from 5 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 3 at Gridley Park on Liberty and West Sixth streets.
Gridley Park National Night Out is one of Erie County’s largest National Night Out events, which are supported by United Way of Erie County. The events are designed to create stronger relationships between residents and community organizations including public safety and nonprofit groups.
This year’s Gridley Park National Night Out events will include a free dinner from Three B Saloon and Smith Provisions hotdogs, and live music from Familiar Spirit band. Children’s activities will include bounce slides, games, and activities offered by the ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum and Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park.
Gridley Park National Night Out will also feature a free vaccine clinic offered by UPMC Hamot staff to participants ages 12 and up. No registration or insurance are required. Children ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Our West Bayfront is grateful to the volunteers and to the dozens of sponsors that support National Night Out and other West Bayfront events, including our “Gridley Park Sponsors:” United Way of Erie County, Housing Authority of the City of Erie, Three B Saloon, Erie Arts and Culture, Pineapple Eddie Southern Bistro, Federal Resources Inc., and the Kiwanis Club of Erie.
“The volunteers of the West Bayfront Events and Outreach Committee have been working for months to plan an exciting and safe event that our neighbors can enjoy. NNO is a time for people to come together and celebrate the strong community bonds that make the West Bayfront a special place,” said Anna Frantz, executive director of OWB.
In case of rain, the event will be held at Strong Vincent Middle School. Check www.ourwestbayfront.org/events/NNO2021 for updates.
