Gannon to Host "Powering our Future: Women in Cyber, Engineering & Computing"

Gannon University is hosting “Powering our Future: Women in Cyber, Engineering & Computing” at 8 p.m. on April 29 via Zoom livestream.

The event is open to all current female high school students, as well as those who are interested in S.T.E.M. and who have a desire to develop a career in cyber, engineering or computing.

This event is a networking and empowerment event to connect with women in the fields of cyber, engineering and computing. You can talk with faculty and students from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. to hear what it’s like earning a degree and working in the field. Gain insider advice and confidence as you take the next step as a future professional in engineering and computing.

Gannon experts will share their knowledge of the industry while students discuss their college and internship experiences and how they are preparing for their careers. A Q&A session will conclude the event. 

Panelists include: Karinna Vernaza, Ph.D., dean of the College of Engineering and Business; Lin Zhao, Ph.D., professor of electrical and computer engineering; and Mei-Huei Tang, Ph.D., professor of software engineering.

The event is co-hosted by Gannon’s College of Engineering and Business and Office of Admissions.
