Each spring the Office of Student Living oversees the housing selection process for students who intend to live on campus the following academic year. This process contains three unique phases that provide returning students with added benefits of living on campus. Notification is sent home prior to the start of the spring semester.
Upper-class students living in the apartments can renew their apartments for the next academic year.
After the renewal phase, students currently living in University housing and wish to change their apartment for the next academic year may do so. The order for selection is determined by a combination of the consecutive number of semesters living on campus, any disciplinary records, and the overall grade point average.
The last phase is for all current freshman students residing in the residence halls who will be moving to apartment units for the following academic year. The order of apartment selection is determined by a lottery system. Freshmen must attend a mandatory meeting where they are given information for the process and an opportunity to ask questions.
