Dr. Mahboobe Mahdavi is currently an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Gannon University. Prior to joining Gannon University in 2016, Dr. Mahdavi obtained her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Temple University where she further developed a novel design for a heat pipe as needed for improving the performance of concentrated solar power systems. Her ongoing research is currently focused on multiphase flow and heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics, porous media, solar energy, thermal energy storage systems, and heat pipes.
