Director for Diversity and Inclusion
The Director provides innovative, visionary, and strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for a comprehensive student focused diversity and inclusion program. This often includes advocating for policies and practices that promote student success.
Offers mentoring and creates cultural support systems that provide respite from the dominant culture; implements educational programs; facilitates cooperation among campus affinity groups; and ensures access to academic support services. The Director
will use strategies to assist the University in developing efforts in creating and sustaining a culture that embraces and promotes diversity and inclusion in their broadest meanings. Emphasis is placed on the development of long-term strategies
and collaborations designed to enhance campus climates to increase the recruitment, matriculation, support, retention, and ultimate graduation of students.
