Jonathan Taccone graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. During his time as a student Jonathan was a member of the Honors Program and a tutor in the Math Center. He cherishes the time spent in the Math Center with Professor Ed Rodgers noting that tutoring alongside of the professor is one of his all-time favorite memories.
Gannon offered many experiences that he is thankful for such as a service trip to Glenmary Farm in Vanceburg, KY, being a presenter on Math in the Movies with Dr. Caulfield, and attending the regional meetings of the Mathematical Association of America with his peers. Most of all Gannon instilled in him the importance of keeping faith at the center of his life.
After graduation Jonathan began his career in insurance and is currently working for CNA Insurance in Chicago, IL as a Pricing Actuary. He assists with building models to quantify risk in order to accurately price insurance policies. He hopes to continue to grow in his profession as it is an ever-changing field with an abundance of opportunities for continuous learning. He is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Jonathan resides in Chicago and enjoys brewing beer, reading and playing the guitar when he and his wife aren’t traveling.
