I want to learn more about Gannon University's Athletic Training program.
Gannon University’s Master of Athletic Training program prepares students to deliver patient-centered health care through classroom and clinical education experiences. Students will study essential topics including injury prevention, clinical examination and diagnosis, acute care of injuries and illnesses, and more. Students will also be well prepared to sit for the national certification examination through the Board of Certification Inc. Athletic trainers work within a variety of health care settings including universities, hospitals and physician offices, industrial settings, performing arts, and more.
Gain real-world knowledge through key athletic training courses including:
Clinical Application of Care and Prevention in
Athletic Training: Develop the essential skill application needed for the prevention, assessment and treatment of acute and emergent illness and injuries.
Practical Applications of Health and Wellness: Examine the principles of nutrition and exercise activities as relating to injury prevention strategies; learn to design and apply programs for diet planning, aerobic and anaerobic training.
Clinical Experience: Complete a full-time clinical experience that is designed for immersion in supervised training practice.
Students will gain foundational knowledge in the first three years of the undergraduate study. These experiences will prepare students for the rigors of graduate school and the athletic training profession. Through these educational opportunities, you can:

"The highlight of my program has
been the lab experiences that have
been helpful in applying what I learn
in the classroom to real life. My
clinical experience along with the
opportunities we have to collaborate
with other medical professionals, such
as athletic trainers and orthopedic
surgeons, have also been highlights."
