See the latest updates on Gannon's response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Welcome to the Archaeology program at Gannon University.  This website will introduce you to the archaeological expedition to Khirbat Iskandar, Jordan, and to some of the basic methods and theory used in archaeological research.  We are gearing up for another expedition in June-July 2019.  You will find information there concerning the dig and the various forms needed for application.  I hope you will be interested to join us!  For our new concentration in Archaeology and Public History, click here.

We also hope to utilize this site for outreach, both for educational programs (K-12) as well as for the general public.  If you are looking to expand your worldview by studying about ancient cultures, this is the site for you.

This site is being built gradually, so keep checking in as we add new pages in the near future, e.g.,  the Collins Institute for Archaeological Research at Gannon and the Archaeology Museum Gallery at Gannon.

Please contact us for questions or comments regarding the site. Enjoy your visit and come back often.
