Gannon University Hosts United Against Human Trafficking Conference
Posted: March 13, 2015Holly Austin Smith, the author of "Walking Prey," will be the
keynote speaker at the Northwest Pennsylvania United Against Human
Trafficking Conference hosted by Gannon University on March 14.
The conference will include a simulation activity, workshops and
a panel discussion including representatives from the Crime Victim
Center of Erie County, Inc., Federal Bureau of Investigation,
Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania, U.S. Customs
and Border Protection and a student veteran.
Workshop titles include "The Willing Victim," "Political
Advocacy Training," "Consumer Ethics," "Founding a Student
Movement" and Who Are the Faces of Human Trafficking?"
Registration for the conference will be held at 9 a.m. in the
Yehl Ballroom of Gannon's Waldron Campus Center, 124 W. Seventh St.
The public is invited to attend this free event. A $5 donation for
lunch is encouraged.
Up to four continuing education credits are available for social
