C. McCalla, PE, CEM, CPE, CDSM, CEP has joined their Conneaut, Ohio
office as a Project Engineer. Mr. McCalla joins us with over 25 years of
experience. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania,
Ohio, Wisconsin, New York and Michigan. He is also a Certified Energy
Manager (CEM), a Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) a
Certified Demand-Side Management Professional (CDSM), and a Certified
Plant Engineer (CPE). He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical
Engineering from Gannon University and a Master of Education in Physics
from Cleveland University. His undergraduate degrees in Mechanical
Engineering and Physics were obtained at the University of Pittsburgh.
He has a strong background in the design of energy efficient systems
including large-scale water conservation, photovoltaic, solar thermal,
and wind power (renewable energy) projects. For over 10 years he led a
team in the development of approximately $2B worth of annual Performance
Contacting and DBOM pay-from-savings projects.
addition to previously running his own firm, BCM Engineering, Mr.
McCalla has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the University of
Pittsburgh. Through his previous employment, he directed the development
of processes and tools to improve the productivity of large (and
multinational) engineering teams. He also holds a patent for the
development of a computerized system and method for benchmarking energy
performance in a building.
