Army names Brig. Gen. David J. Francis '89 new Fort Rucker Commanding General

A former Assault Helicopter Platoon Leader has been named the new Commanding General at Fort Rucker.

According to a release from the U.S. Army, Brig. Gen. David J. Francis will take over the position of Commanding General, United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Rucker. Francis assumes the position from Maj. Gen. William K. Gayler, who served as Commanding General at Fort Rucker for three years.
