Gannon Welcome Week

  •  Welcome Week Header 2021

Welcome Week is an extended orientation designed to help you settle into campus, build connections with the Gannon community, find opportunities that match your interests, and develop a sense of belonging on Gannon's campus before classes start.

Welcome Week starts on Friday, August 19, 2022, and concludes on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

Welcome Week is aimed to be common yet customizable, letting you choose your own adventure throughout the week. We do this through our First Year Team (FYT) program. FYT is an immersive program designed to introduce first-year students to the university through their personal interests. Students choose an interest theme and spend time learning about Gannon and engaging in activities with a small group of peers based on that theme.

Each FYT group is led by a Transition Guide, one of our trained student leaders. These Transition Guides are your personal guide to what it means to be a Gannon Golden Knight. They serve as mentors who have been through this before and can help you build connections and Find Your FYT at Gannon. They will also serve as your Gannon 101 peer facilitator throughout your fall semester.
