Adult Orientation

  • Welcome to Gannon! 

    Congratulations on your decision to join the Gannon Family! As an Adult Learner, we recognize you have important priorities that are accompanying your educational goals. Gannon University is excited to walk with you in your path toward degree attainment.

    Your first step as a new student at Gannon University is to attend Adult Orientation. The Adult Orientation program will be on August 9, 2022 from 9:00 am-11:00am where you will engage first-hand with the staff and services you will need to have a successful transition into the University.

    Adult Orientation includes an opportunity to tour campus, get your student ID, and purchase your textbooks. You can also stop by the Financial Aid Office and/or the Cashier’s Office.

    *Adult Orientation is open for anyone 21+ years of age.

    Schedule

    • 9:00am - 9:30am - Check-in (lower level of the Nash Library)
      Pick up your student ID and new student gift while also enjoying a light breakfast 
    • 9:30am - 10:00am – Welcome and Intro to Gannon
      Lauren Theisen, Assistant Director of Admissions for Adult and Transfers and Heidi Brieger Noyes, Director of Commuter Life will give an overview of financial aid, academic advising, and parking and commuting to campus
    • 10:00am - 11:00am - Life as a Knight
      An overview of our technology platforms such as Blackboard and the Gannon portal
    • 11:00am -Campus Tour (optional)
