    • Recent Gannon philosophy graduates have attended graduate programs at schools such as St. Mary’s in Baltimore, West Chester University, Franciscan University of Steubenville, and the American College in Rome.
    • Job placement and graduate school acceptance rates for Gannon philosophy graduates is 100 percent.

    Major Facts

    • Recently, the Chronicle of Higher Education reported philosophy majors on average did significantly better on the standardized tests that are used as a basis for admission to law schools, graduate colleges of management, business administration and more.

    About the Program

    • The philosophy program is housed in the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, providing opportunities for students to interact with students in many other disciplines.
    • Gannon’s philosophy faculty is affiliated with the American Philosophical Association, International Berkeley Society, American Maritain Association and the American Catholic Philosophical Association.
    • Students at Gannon may also choose to minor in philosophy to complement their major field of study.
    • Through Gannon’s graduate programs, philosophy majors can further their education in a number of disciplines including business administration (MBA) and pastoral studies.
