3+4 and 4+4 pre-medical programs with Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)
Qualified students will be conditionally guaranteed an
interview with PCOM, an advantage over students at other
institutions at the time of application
Qualified students can gain conditionally guaranteed
acceptance as early as senior year of high school
Students in the 3+4 program can earn a B.S. in health sciences
from Gannon University after the completion of their first year at
The Liberal Studies Core Curriculum is one reflection of Gannon University's commitment to
its Catholic identity. The Core's design offers students a defined, integrated, shared
experience as the foundation for their undergraduate program.
Achieve a minimum SAT score of 1220 in critical reading and
math or ACT composite score of 25 or higher
Achieve a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0
Obtain a rank in the top 25% of your high school class
Complete four years of science courses and four years of math
courses at the high school level
Provide evidence of scholarly, professional and personal
potential and a desire to become an osteopathic physician
Students who meet all entry requirements listed below will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. A maximum of 10 students will be accepted into this program each year. At their discretion, PCOM may allow additional students entry into the program.
Successfully complete the course requirements for PCOM
Earn an overall GPA of 3.0 through the junior year for the 4+4
program or 3.2 through the sophomore year for the 3+4 program
Submit an application to PCOM through AACOMAS no later than
mid-January the year the student plans to matriculate to
