Gannon’s communication sciences and disorders program provides you with the educational foundation for understanding and treating speech, language, hearing and swallowing disorders. Engage with faculty in an inter-professional and collaborative environment

Gain real-world knowledge through key courses:
Phonetics: Study acoustic, linguistic and articulatory properties of speech sounds using the International Phonetic Alphabet. Learn transcription and differences in speech production.
Introduction to Audiology: Explore the scope of practice, anatomy and physiology of hearing mechanisms, hearing science and audiometry and learn methods for assessing, evaluating and rehabilitating hearing disorders.
Communication Disorders in Children and Adults: Study the genetics, etiologies, diagnosis and interventions for speech, language, hearing and swallowing disorders in adults and children, as well as prevention, education, advocacy and
treatment of disorders.
