On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Dahlkemper School of Business (DSB), welcome!  Gannon’s DSB is an excellent choice for your business education and preparing for a successful career.

Our philosophy on business education mirrors the words of Peter Drucker, "Since we live in an age of innovation, a practical education must prepare a man for work that does not yet exist and cannot yet be clearly defined."  We strive to inspire students to engage on a journey of life-long learning.  As the business world is ever-changing, we provide students a framework for understanding the why’s of business education, not just the ‘how to’. With solid knowledge of business fundamentals and advanced knowledge in an area of specialization, graduates possess a skillset that can be used today and adaptable to the business world of the future.

The School of Business is co-located with the Erie Technology Incubator (ETI), the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the NWPA Innovation Beehive Network.  The synergies created via the established and integrative relationship between DSB and these entities provide students with first-hand experience of starting businesses and interacting with start-up companies.  These opportunities further enhance your business education and demonstrate a sought-after skill, entrepreneurial thinking, to future employers.

The possibilities for School of Business students are endless – you can engage in coursework that leads to professional certifications while you’re still an undergraduate, experiential learning opportunities, study abroad experiences, business start-up support and integration with the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and the list goes on.  Most importantly, you’ll be supported by a dedicated faculty who are eager to develop you into successful business professionals.

What are your business passions and aspirations? Come and join us so we can help you achieve your (endless) possibilities.

Training the entrepreneurs and leaders of the future is the focus at the Dahlkemper School of Business Administration.

The Dahlkemper School is the first business school in northwestern Pennsylvania with undergraduate and graduate programs that are both nationally accredited (from the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs).

Two factors unique to Gannon University set the Dahlkemper School apart:

    1. The close integration with engineering under the umbrella of the College of Engineering and Business
    2. The Small Business Development Center, located on Gannon’s campus, which affords students with a unique opportunity to work on projects and assignments for area businesses through classes and internships

As a result, graduates are unusually well prepared for a future where science and technology may drive the economy. And qualified juniors may choose to pursue an accelerated MBA program that will allow them to complete their undergraduate and graduate degree work in just five years, instead of the traditional six.
