About SMG
The electronic version of the popular paper Stock Market Game is available. Through the use of the Internet students will now be able to acquire a more realistic view of what playing the stock market would be like.
It is easy to get started
- There is a simple registration form to be filled out, on-line, by the teacher, advisor, or team member.
- A password and team identification number is then assigned after payment of the registration fee to Temple University. (To ensure secrecy, the password is known only to the team.)
- Rankings can be obtained from the SMG web page.
- A transaction order form is completed with the number of shares, ticker symbol, limit price, and trade type.
- After the form is completed a transaction will take less than 24 hours to complete (This version takes much less time than the paper game.)
- Many other resources are available on the web page.
