GANNON FALLS TO GROVE CITY
COLLEGE IN CWPA ACTION
 
GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Gannon University women’s water polo team suffered a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) loss at Grove City College Tuesday evening. The Wolverines defeated the Lady Knights 9-6.
   
Gannon’s Annie Greenhill (Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda) led the team with two goals and five steals.
   
Four other Lady Knights posted goals.
   
Freshman Stephanie Komorek (Erie, Pa./McDowell) started in net for Gannon. Komorek recorded two blocks and six goals against.
   
She was replaced by Niki Hoffa (Sinking Springs, Pa./Governor Mifflin) 30 seconds into the fourth quarter. Hoffa allowed three goals and made four blocks.
   
Gannon is 7-12 overall and 2-4 in the CWPA. Grove City improves to 7-9 this season and 3-3 in conference action.
   
The Lady Knights close out the regular season against Washington & Jefferson at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12th. The CWPA match will be held at the Henry Memorial Center natatorium.
