GANNON VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO
NO. 10 ASHLAND AT HOME

ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon University volleyball team dropped its second match this season to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Ashland University. Ashland, who is ranked 10th nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), swept the Lady Knights 3-0 (30-22, 30-15, 30-23).
   
Kendall Fischer (Boston Heights, Ohio/Nordonia), Gail Andrews (Strongsville, Ohio/Lutheran West) and Julienne Moots (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) led Gannon’s offense with four kills apiece. Sophomore setter Maire Prybyl (Mars, Pa./North Catholic) topped the Lady Knights in assists (18) and service aces (3).
   
Kadie Zimmerman (Essexville, Mich./Garber) tallied eight digs for Gannon’s defense.
   
Ashland’s Mary Kate Glowe recorded the match’s only double-double. Glowe posted 10 digs and a team-high 12 kills. Lynsey Warren headlined the Eagles with 37 assists.
   
Marina Santos led Ashland’s defense with 11 digs.
   
The Lady Knights are 5-16 overall and 1-12 in conference play. Ashland is 11-2 in the GLIAC and 22-3 overall.
