GANNON LACROSSE CONCLUDES
HOMESTAND THURSDAY AGAINST REGIS
ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon
women’s lacrosse team concludes a three-match homestand Thursday, March 27
against Regis (Colo.) at Gannon University Field. Game time is scheduled
for 4 p.m.

Gannon, ranked seventh in NCAA Division II, rides a two-match win streak
into Thursday’s contest. The Lady Knights won the first two matches on the
current homestand against ninth-ranked Queens (20-8) and Division I Niagara
(16-6).
Taryn Millerd (Shortsville, N.Y./Midlakes) leads the Gannon offense
with 20 goals, eight assists, and 28 points. Colleen Dixon (Lafayette,
N.Y./Lafayette) and Mary Eshenour (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) both
have 24 goals and three assists. Kayla Nelson (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) leads
the team in assists (15).
Shauna Hutchinson (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) has started every
match in goal, posting an 8.31 goals against average and .583 save percentage.
Regis brings an 0-6 record into Thursday’s fray. The Rangers opened the season
with five consecutive road losses and dropped a 13-10 decision to Connecticut
College in their home opener last Thursday. The program has dropped previous
decisions against Pfeiffer (18-5), St. Andrew’s Presbyterian (15-13), Queens
(12-5), and Belmont Abbey (16-12).
Seniors Jen Gunlikson and Lillian Yanni lead the Regis offense. Gunlikson
has recorded 13 goals while Yanni has found the back of the net 11 times.
Senior Amanda Ponzer and sophomore Becca Gargaro have eight and six goals,
respectively.
Sophomore Brittany Farniok has started every match in goal, producing a 15.02
goals against average and .360 save percentage.
