GANNON LACROSSE LOOKS TO REMAIN
PERFECT AT HOME MONDAY AGAINST IUP
     
ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon women’s lacrosse team looks to remain perfect at home Monday, April 14 when the Lady Knights host Indiana (Pa.) at Gannon University Field. Gannon, ranked seventh in NCAA Division II with a 6-3 record, rides a two-match losing streak into Monday’s match after consecutive road losses at fifth-ranked Lock Haven (15-8) and fourth-ranked West Chester (24-7). However, the Lady Knights are perfect in three home matches this season. The squad has produced an 11.3 scoring margin during home victories against Queens (20-8), Niagara (16-6), and Regis (20-8).
   
Colleen Dixon (Lafayette, N.Y./Lafayette) leads the offensive unit with 34 goals, five assists, and 39 points. Taryn Millerd (Shortsville, N.Y./Midlakes) and Kayla Nelson (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) are tied for second with 36 points each. Millerd owns 25 goals and 11 assists while Nelson has recorded seven goals and a team-high 29 assists. Mary Eshenour (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) completes Gannon’s group of 30-point performers with 30 goals, four assists, and 34 points.
   
Shauna Hutchinson (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) has been Gannon’s top goalkeeper, posting a 10.85 goals against average and .541 save percentage in seven starts.
   
Indiana (Pa.) enters Monday’s affair with a 2-9 record and a four-match losing streak. The Crimson Hawks have dropped consecutive matches against West Chester (24-1), Millersville (15-3), Lock Haven (23-5), and Shippensburg (15-9).
   
Sophomore attacker Alex Slinkard leads IUP with 13 goals, seven assists, and 20 points. Sophomore midfielder Amanda Fetter is next with 12 goals and three assists. Senior midfielder Lauren Abbott and sophomore midfielder Kellie Caldwell have posted 13 points each
