Kristina Freeman

Kristina Freeman     # 34
Guard * 5’9” * Sophomore
Yonkers, N.Y. * Pelham Memorial High School

Freeman will compete for a starting position on the wing, but can move to forward if needed. The 5’9” sophomore turned in a fabulous freshman campaign last season and was an impact player off the bench. Freeman’s best attributes are her athleticism and court savvy. A crowd favorite after only one season, she can change the momentum of a game in seconds with her defensive skills and ability to run the floor.

Freshman Season: Saw action in every game as a true freshman ... was Gannon’s first player off the bench ... recorded her first career points in the third game of the season at Slippery Rock ... reached double digits in scoring nine times ... hit double digits in three consecutive games off the bench in late February ... scored a season-high 14 points against Michigan Tech in the GLIAC Semifinals ... also netted 14 points at Wayne State in late November ... had one of her best all-around performances against Saginaw Valley State in the GLIAC Quarterfinals ... recorded 10 points, five assists, four steals, and six rebounds against the Cardinals ... totaled 32 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, four blocks, and six steals in three GLIAC Tournament games ... shot 52 percent (11-21) from the floor and was perfect in 10 free throw attempts during the GLIAC post-season.

High School: Played for John Osterhaudt at Pelham Memorial High School ... named conference co-MVP after averaging 19.9 points as a senior ... ranked sixth in the state in points per game and eighth in total points (417) ... led Pelham Memorial to a 20-win season in 2005-06 ... reached double digits in scoring during every game as a senior, including three 30-point performances ... scored a season-high 31 points during victories over Kennedy Catholic and Briarcliff ... averaged 16 points and 13 rebounds as a junior, producing 21 double-doubles in 23 games ... named to the Westchester County All-Section team ... landed spots on the Class B Sectional Final All-Tournament team and the Pelham All-Tournament team ... named MVP at the North Salem Christmas Tournament ... was a member of the high honor roll.
