Dacek is expected to battle
for playing time at point guard or shooting guard. The 5’6” guard has a variety
of tools at her disposal and poses a ton of problems for opposing defenders.
“Amanda will be a versatile player for us,” said Wright. “She is a combo
guard who can be the point guard or shooting guard. Amanda is a good passer
and can score off the dribble. She will increase our depth at point guard
and can help us immediately.”
High School: Played for Mike Pearl at
Berea (Ohio) High School ... named conference MVP as a senior ... landed a
spot on the all-district honorable-mention squad as a senior ... averaged
13.4 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals as a junior ... is a four-time all-conference
selection ... earned all-conference honorable-mention accolades as a freshman
... named to the second team as a sophomore ... landed a spot on the first
team as a junior and senior ... dominated the Berea team awards, being named
Most Complete Player every year ... named Offensive Player of the Year and
Defensive Player of the Year during her career ... was a member of the honor
roll.
