Visiting Team Information
The Gannon University Sports Medicine
staff would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the campus
of Gannon University. Our hope is that this page will make your trip
easier, and answer any questions you may have before your arrival.
Gannon University’s athletic trainers
will be available to assist you during your visit. Teams traveling
with an athletic trainer are welcome to use our facilities. If your
team is traveling without an athletic trainer, please notify us in advance.
We will be happy to accommodate your needs if prior arrangements have
been made (Please note: coaches may not authorize
treatment for any athlete. A note from the prescribing physician
or athletic trainer must accompany any athlete requiring treatment).
Gannon University
Sports Medicine Services:
A certified athletic trainer will
be on site for every event, and a team physician will be either on site
or on call. Ambulance service will be present at all football games.
Facilities:
All facilities will be available at
least 1½ hours prior to an event. If you need access to a
facility prior to these times, please contact a member of the athletic
training staff prior to your visit to make arrangements.
All visiting teams will be supplied
with the following items:
- Water
- Hot Packs
- Ice and ice bags
- Biohazard equipment
- Emergency equipment (splints,
crutches, backboard, AED) – on sidelines
If there are other supplies you will need, please notify us prior to
your arrival.
The following
teams will be using the athletic training room located in the CARNEVAL
ATHLETIC PAVILION:
- Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country
- Men’s and Women’s Water Polo
- Men’s and Women’s Golf
- Men’s and Women’s Swimming
The following
teams will be using the athletic training room located in the HAMMERMILL
CENTER:
- Women’s Volleyball
- Women’s Basketball
- Men’s Basketball
- Wrestling
The following
teams will be using the athletic training room located at GANNON UNIVERSITY
FIELD:
- Men’s Soccer
- Women’s Soccer
- Women’s Lacrosse
- Softball
- Baseball
- Football
