GANNON SWIMMERS CONCLUDE
ASHLAND INVITATIONAL

ASHLAND, Ohio. - The Gannon University men’s and women’s swimming teams concluded the three-day-long Ashland Invitational Saturday evening. The men’s squad finished second with 474 points. Host Ashland University won the three-school invite with 712 points. Non-conference rival Edinboro finished in third place (397).
   
Paul Musile (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak) took top honors in the 100 freestyle. The senior won the event with a time of 46.70 seconds.    
   
The Lady Knights finished third with 409 points. Ashland won the women’s competition with 752 points, followed by Edinboro University (497).
   
Megan Beresford (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) tallied a score of 383.54 to place first in three-meter diving. Fellow freshman Ellie Hess (Lower Burrell, Pa./Burrell) placed second in the 100 freestyle (54.35).
   
Gannon sees action again on Friday, January 11. They will host Ashland University at 5 p.m.
