GANNON SWIMMERS IMPROVE AFTER
SECOND DAY AT ASHLAND INVITE

ASHLAND, Ohio. - The Gannon University men’s and women’s swimming teams concluded their second day at the three-day-long Ashland Invitational. Friday evening. The men’s squad overtook second spot from non-conference rival Edinboro University. Host Ashland University remains atop the three-team invite with 490 points, followed by Gannon (313) and Edinboro (257).
   
Junior Connor Wolf (Canton, Ohio/Central Catholic) placed second in the 100 breaststroke (59.91). The team of Wolf, Richie DiLoreto (Erie, Pa./McDowell), Seth Hazlett (Leechburg, Pa./Kiski Area), and Paul Musile (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oak) were 22-hundreths of a second short of taking first in the 200 medley relay.
   
In women’s action, the Lady Knights remain in third place with 264 points. Ashland has a competition-leading 504 points, and Edinboro sits in second with 322.
   
Ellie Hess (Lower Burrell, Pa./Burrell) placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:57.27), and fellow fresshman Megan Beresford (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) tallied a score of 365.45 to take top honors in one-meter diving.
   
Gannon concludes action at the Ashland Invitational on Saturday, December 1.
