Cory Knight
Men's Basketball
Knight was the Gannon men's basketball team's sparkplug off the bench last weekend as the Golden Knights won the 25th annual Gary Miller Classic. The senior point guard was named to the all-tournament team after recording 22 points, six rebounds, 14 assists, and two steals in two games. He was 9-of-14 from the field during the tournament. Knight was fabulous during the championship game, running the offense for the majority of the first half after starter Joe Lindsey picked up his second foul. Knight had 10 points and eight assists against Daemen in the title game. All 10 points and six of the eight assists came during the first half when he was running the offense.
Julie Kleber
Women's Basketball
Kleber has helped the Gannon women's basketball team get off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2001-02. The sophomore has reached double digits in every game, despite coming off the bench in every contest. She was one of only two Lady Knights to reach double digits in scoring last week at Tiffin, chipping in 12 points in 25 minutes of action. Kleber was 4-of-7 from the field, 2-of-4 from three-point range, and 2-of-3 from the free throw line. She added two rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
