ERIE, Pa. - The Gannon men’s basketball team will be playing in

The Golden Knights showed a balanced offense for the second consecutive game
and rolled into the championship game with an 85-64 victory against visiting
Roberts Wesleyan Friday evening at the Hammermill Center.
Gannon led 44-33 at halftime and put the game out of reach with a 14-4 run
in the opening 5:21 of the second half. Five different players scored during
the run, capped by Vince Mosley’s (Boynton Beach, Fla./Dillard) jumper
that boosted the Gannon lead to 58-37 with 14:39 to play. The lead hovered
between 15 and 23 points the rest of the way before the Golden Knights settled
for an 85-64 victory.
The home team also opened the first half on fire, racing to a 20-7 advantage
5:54 into the contest. Mosley needed only four seconds to score on a driving
lay-up after the tip. The senior forward netted seven of the first 20 minutes,
but the Golden Knights’ balance shined in the opening run as five different
players scored. Pierre Howard (Chicago, Ill./Bloom) added six markers
during the run.

first half after a 12-2 run midway through the opening period. The lead remained
at three with 5:24 remaining in the half until Gannon ended the period with
a 10-2 run. The Golden Knights went to halftime with a 44-33 edge.

with 20 points, hitting 8-of-12 shots from the field and 3-of-3 attempts

17 points while hitting 3-of-4 three-pointers. Howard and Kyle Goldcamp
(Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) chipped in 16 and 14 points, respectively.
