ERIE, Pa. - Grand Valley State has unveiled “Tournament Central” on its Web site for fans to obtain all information regarding this weekend’s NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Great Lakes Regional hosted by the Lakers in Allendale, Michigan.

Fans can access the site at http://gvsulakers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/m-baskbl-08-ncaa-regional.html. Live gameday statistics will be available for every game on the site through Gametracker. Box scores and recaps will also be available at the conclusion of each contest. No video broadcasts will be available.

Other information available on the site includes details for tickets, directions, hotels, and restaurants. A profile for each team in the Great Lakes Regional with rosters, schedules, and statistics can also be found on the site.

Locally, all Gannon games can be heard live on Jet Radio 1400 and via the Internet at http://www.gannon.edu/sports/werg/knightsound.ihtml. Chris Hughes will call the play-by-play.

Gannon, ranked 18th in NCAA Division II, brings a 25-4 record into Saturday’s (March 15) NCAA Tournament first-round match-up with Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) champion Drury (Mo.). The Panthers are ranked 11th nationally with 25-5 record. Game time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at GVSU’s Fieldhouse Arena.

Gannon will be making its 21st NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh in the last nine seasons. The Golden Knights’ last NCAA Tournament appearance came in 2005. The program’s last NCAA victory was an 82-81 victory over Bloomsburg in 1995.
