Building friendships and cultural awareness through a shared experience engaging in experiential and physical challenges. Substantive exposure and immersion to Appalachian Folk Arts, culture and outdoor activities. Deepening intercultural skills and knowledge through exposure to a wide range of cultural traditions that engage the mind, body and spirit. Includes facilitated and informal dialogues with participants and a community of others.
This program is a “pilot” program to increase intercultural learning within a domestic setting. As such, we're prioritizing student applications but this program is also to Gannon Staff. We can only take 8 persons (plus two program leaders) as we'll be traveling in a 12-seater van.

Program Costs
Food (not included) estimated cost at $15/day = $150
Excursion Costs: $160 (Bike Rental, Museums, Concerts, and Dances)
Lodging ($10/night) = $90 (Appalachian Folk School)
Total Cost: $250 / Program Schedule
