Ruskin, Fl.- "The student physical therapy association that we have down here in Ruskin has really tried to drive home the aspect of community involvement and being positive influencers of our community," Brock Labelle says, "a trait we think is very beneficial for a physical therapist to have. This belief is what has guided our fundraisers in that direction."
Wednesday, October 17, 2018, was "
Pink Day," which was where the student body was able to attend class wearing their best pink attire along with a minimum $2 donation. The profits made will be donated to a Florida based non-profit breast cancer foundation for the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
The first year PT class along with the second year PT class are both competing in a Loose Change for Christmas fundraiser/competition. Change collection jars will be placed in the school, one bucket for each the first year PT class and the second year PT class. Both classes will be competing against each other to raise the most money. This competition will go through November. Upon completion the money will be counted and donated to Ruskin Elementary to help them buy school supplies and anything necessary for their school.
