Nearly five hundred students from fifty high schools in the Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York areas arrived for a two day conference on international affairs. Student delegates met in multiple committees throughout Gannon's campus to debate and propose resolutions about some of the most pertinent international issues facing our world today.  Every committee passed a resolution for consideration at the General Assembly meeting on Saturday, November 15th. Although not all the resolutions passed the delegates learned important lessons in debate, compromise, cooperation, representation, and diplomacy.  The Gannon Model United Nations staff worked extremely diligently to put the conference together and would like to thank all of the 2008 participants for an excellent display of maturity and diplomacy, and for making the 2008 GUMUN another successful adventure!
