What is SGA?
SGA stands for Student Government Association. SGA is the organization that acts as the voice of the student body to faculty, staff, and administrators at Gannon University.
As a student at Gannon, what can SGA do for me?
SGA is responsible for the funding of all recognized clubs and organizations on Gannon's campus, conferences, retreats, and other basic operating costs. If you feel strongly about something on campus, bring it before SGA at one of our regular meetings.
How can I become a part of SGA here at Gannon?
Elections are held in the Spring semester of each year. Nine representatives from each class will be elected during this time. Simply pick up a signature packet from the front desk in the Waldron Campus Center when they become available. To be put on the ballot, you must first collect 75 signatures from your classmates.
Why should I become a part of Student Government Association?
You can make your voice and opinions heard. In addition, being a part of SGA builds leadership skills and gives you the opportunity to meet other student leaders like yourself.
Can I be a part of SGA even if I am not a member?
Yes, all students are welcomed to be a part of SGA. Even though you may not be a voting member during meetings, you can have a very active role with different committees.
