It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Gannon University Student Government Website. Students who participate in the Student Government Association are elected by their peers to represent students throughout the University. This diverse group of almost 40 SGA officers and class representatives volunteers their time to make sure that students’ concerns and suggestions are shared with the Dean of Student Development and his staff, other Deans and Division supervisors, Vice Presidents and the Provost, and me. In addition, SGA representatives serve on several important University-wide committees where students participate actively. The SGA also determines how funding for University-recognized student clubs and organizations is distributed.

I applaud all of the students who have made a commitment to serve as SGA officers and representatives. As future leaders in their careers and their communities, SGA members learn valuable lessons through these experiences. Therefore, if you are not a member of the SGA or a student organization or club, I encourage you to ask an SGA representative how you can get involved.
