Students entering the University as Pre-Law concentrators take an introductory sequence of foundational courses, including:
Introduction to Law in Society (3 credits)
Legal Analysis & Persuasion (3 credits)
Other freshman courses are taken in Liberal Studies, U.S. Government, Economics, Psychology or Sociology. Students are advised to select a relevant major field of study during their sophomore year.
Students from any major may elect to pursue a minor in Pre-Legal Studies consisting of 18 credit hours of approved courses selected from Pre-Legal and Cognate fields.
Pre-Law students may also participate in the following:
- Pre-Law orientation
- Pre-Law Society meetings, seminars and lectures
- Meetings with law students, attorneys and law school representatives
- Visits to area law schools
- Law School Admission pre-test
- Intensive Law School Admissions Test workshop
