The instructor intends to teach her students basic drafting rules and principles
involving contracts. We will analyze the writing process in the area of contract
law. The instructor will accomplish all the above goals by lecture, writing
examples, and through the students' participation and discussion in class
regarding reading and writing assignments. Your instructor is Stephanie

CLASS TIME/LOCATION
Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:50 p.m.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance is mandatory. It is essential that you attend class to understand the
legal principles
and writing skills introduced to you through the lectures. Attendance will be
taken to assure
proper credit to or subtraction from your grade.
INTEGRITY
We cannot underestimate the importance of ethics in the area of
contracts. You as a student will
also be held strictly liable for any ethical breaches or concerns regarding
homework assignments,
etc. Unethical behavior will be addressed appropriately.
NOTES
If you experience any problems related to the course, please do not
hesitate to talk to me before
or after class. You may also telephone me privately to address a situation. We
can work
together to resolve any issue as long as you notify me in order to address the
problem or issue promptly.

SCHEDULING OF READING ASSIGNMENTS
Your reading schedule and homework assignments are listed below. This
instructor recommends
you read each reading assignment more than at least six times. Law-related
material is difficult
to understand if not read carefully and repeatedly for better comprehension. The
library has
reading selections on file for this course regarding ethics and business.
TESTS/GRADING
Each Exam (Mid-term and Final) is worth 33.3% of your grade. These
questions are derived
from both the reading and homework assignments as well as class lectures. The
remaining
33.3% is determined by classroom participation, attendance and homework
assignments.
