About the International  Business (IB) Web Site

(last modified 8/7/98)

Content

The Gannon International Business Web site consists of three main parts, each of which is briefly described as follows:

Design Philosophy

The site was designed to be navigated quickly and provide information in a manner that is easy to find.  Thus, the index contained on the home page is quite extensive and includes sub headings when it is determined that they may be useful to the visitor interested in researching a particular topic but who may not know under which particular heading it corresponds.  It is very unlikely that the site will win any design awards, but hopefully it presents information effectively.

Uses

While this site is intended for use primarily by IB majors, serving as a sort of a Handbook, and by prospective students who may be seeking additional information on the program, it may also prove helpful to other Gannon students, faculty, administrators, Admissions personnel, alumnus, members of the IB Advisory Council, the local international business community as well as to others.

Prospective students who are interested in obtaining an overview of the program are invited to view the IB Program Fact Sheet .

Many of the pages on this Web site also represents the results of a plan that was developed in Fall, 1995, to implement the IB program.

Future plans

Future plans for this site include the following:

Future pages are planned for the following topics:

Updates/revisions

The material related to the curriculum is intended to be updated each summer following the publication of the Gannon Undergraduate Catalog.  Other material will be revised and updated as needed and posted during breaks in the academic year.  The top of each page indicates the date of the latest modification.  The LISTSERV to which all IB majors are subscribed will be used to provide them with important information between revisions.

The visitor is invited back to see what may be new.

How to use this Web site

To obtain information on a topic of interest the visitor navigates through the index on the home page and left double clicks on the hypertext link corresponding to that topic which should take the visitor to another page on the IB Web site.  The bottom of each of the other pages contains the following  hypertext link:  "Click here to return to the IB program home page."
