minutes with the one correction and Cindy seconded them. All were in favor,
with three abstentions, and the minutes were approved with the noted
correction.</p>

that this was the first time that the TAC met in September. Usually the fir=

meeting is in October, but at the May meeting the committee decided to meet=

September to get a head start on our unit plans.</p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:.5in'>Mark welcomed all members a=
nd
stated that Jill will email the agenda for each meeting and ask everyone to
respond to her of his/her availability for each meeting. He proceeded to go
through the logistics of the committee and asked the members to stay inform=
ed
of any decisions made by the committee and take those decisions back to the=
ir
respective offices. He reiterated that the meetings are on the first Thursd=
ay
of every month, excluding January, at 3:00 pm in WCC 219. Two exceptions th=
is
semester will be the October 2nd meeting which will begin at <b
style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>3:30 </b>instead of 3:00 pm, and the
November meeting is scheduled for <b style=3D'mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>=
Friday</b>,
November 7 at the usual time of 3:00 pm and place. He asked the committee if
there were any schedule conflicts, and there was one with one of the SGA re=
ps,
Tom Russo has lab at this time. <span class=3DSpellE>Bri</span> of SGA will=
 find
another student to be a TAC rep.</p>

ee that <u>InfoPath</u>
can be removed from the list. </p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:1.0in'>There is <span class=3DGra=
mE>an add</span>
on to <u>Student Ed Plans</u>, students can plan out their course schedule
three to four years out.</p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:1.0in'>He also stated that there =
is
nothing else planned with <span class=3DSpellE>Datatel</span>.</p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:1.0in'>AJ Miceli (representing Ti=
m) spoke
on the <u>SPSS</u> licensing. He stated from a practical standpoint we need=
 it.
Mark spoke up saying that it is troublesome because it is a recurring fundi=
ng
cost and Val added that it was for faculty use and the faculty used it for
classes. Consequently, the licenses were being used up quickly. AJ, still
speaking for Tim, brought up the subject of the multi media studio in the
basement of the Nash library being a possible unit plan. It is used by many
departments <i style=3D'mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>i.e.</i> English, Marke=
ting,
CIS, etc. Mark stated that the committee wants to get away from the replace=
ment
kind of funding. </p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:1.0in'>Mark wanted to put somethi=
ng on
the table for ITS. With all of the expansion being done at the university, =
they
are working on a job description for hiring another telecommunications pers=
on. </p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:1.0in'>Mike stated that there are=
 items
on the list that we have not talked about and Mark stated that either the
champion for that unit plan is not here or there is not enough interest. </=
p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal style=3D'margin-left:1.0in'>Mark once again stated tha=
t there
is $57,000 for funding in the TAC budget. He then asked Laurie to talk about
the Imaging of Admissions Applications, which is to her credit. She said th=
at
it is up and running. Two components, international applications are online=
 as
well as all of the undergraduate day population. Since we are approaching a
lock-out situation, she would like to look into how many licenses are being
used at certain times of the day.</p>
