Cindy had two changes to the minutes. Under “Address Correction Software”, it should read “It will scan data and determine what is undeliverable”. And, the two sentences starting “Carolynn said….”, belong under Secondary Source Evaluation.

Marian moved that the minut= es be approved and Cindy seconded. = With the noted corrections, all were in favor, with one abstention, and the minu= tes were approved.

Mark distributed a hand-out= and summarized the funding requests.

University Web Master-Request recurring university funds. <= /p>

Augment Digital Dais Rep= lacement cycle-Ward asked if room 219 is added to the cycle and Mark answered th= at only the classrooms are. Still request recurring University funds.

Secondary Source Evaluat= ion Software-Val asked if something is funded more than once, should it be funded so that it is not always coming out of our dollars. Request recurring University funds.

Address Correction Softw= are-Cindy explained that there are a couple of options for this software. If they buy only two licenses, they won’t get a price break until they buy five.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> It can be implemented in her area = and they can track what kind of savings there is. There is, also, an annual subscription fee. Mark said t= hat Desktop can be separate from Desktop Batch. Cindy asked Cindy Benovic if “smart mailer” can be added and Cindy Benovic answered no. She doesn’t feel that “smart mailer” is that useful. QuickAdd Batch presents data decay over time. There is also an add-on that tells= the user if the address is correct. Cindy will take option 2 to purchase four licenses.

Imaging for Financial Ai= d-Laurie explained that once this is implemented they would provide better service, = more effective use of time and there would be a savings on physical space, paper, cartridges, etc. John asked if there is a potential to reduce the number of work-study students. Laurie stated that she cannot answ= er that at this time. Financial Aid will fund recurring.

Replace Alumni On-Line C= ommunity-Cathy Fresch distributed a handout regarding the Alumni On-Line Community that started in 2001. Cathy explained that with their current product, there is = an extra charge each time they want to replace a component or make a change. They brought in a task force and l= ooked at five companies and heard back from two. They have chosen IAC. They also looked at Datatel, but they were too expensive.= They are looking at iModules and have talked to them twice. They have met their needs. Using iModule= s the alumni office will not have to pay extra for new components, but are required to sign a three to four year contract. The product is not software but is= a website that has similar features as liquid matrix fun= ctuality on Datatel. They are looking for a product that= is more flexible to their needs. The product has to be contingent on funding until 2008-09. They are asking the TAC for $3020.

University-Wide Statisti= cal Software-the Deans will fund the recurring cost.

On-line Assessment- = One option being considered is an opening between Zurn 122 and 121 to have easier access to all individuals testing in both comput= er labs. Mike said that in the business school side they will need 35.&nb= sp; Carolynn stated that nursing will need 55-60. Evaluating number of l= arge course sessions.

Software for Student Liv= ing-They are taking the request off the table and looking at other options.

Music Download and Board= Room Projection Equipment-ITS will fund recurring costs.

Clock Synchronization Sy= stem-Exact Costs not yet determined.

Carolynn seconded the motio= n. Nine were in favor and one opposed. The motion was carried.

Carolynn made the motion for university funding for:

Virginia seconded it and the motion was carried.
