Accomplish= ment:

 

  • ePortfolio – electronic portfolios to be piloted with Education students
  • TurnItIn – plagiarism prevention

o&nb= sp;      Controlled Online Assessment Classroom - software or hardware solution to provide a controlled online assessments classroom with seating available for 25 ̵= 1; 40 students

o&nb= sp;      Supported the Digital Dais Replacement Cycle funding initiative

o&nb= sp;      As a result of these unit plans, the TAC committee ranked the Digital Dais Replacement Cycle has a priority two and Plagiarism Prevention Software was ranked priority three.

 

  • A survey was conducted which resulted in an overall positive feedback to the event. The Tech Buffet 2007 included the eleven faculty members who received summer workshop training through the Title III grant. Those faculty members demonstrated their proje= cts which they developed to improve teaching and learning in their classes.  The members of the TLTR evaluated = those eleven faculty to determine the recipient of the ‘President’s A= ward’. The procedure used to select the recipient was reviewed and suggested chang= es were made.

      • ANGEL – Based on a unit plan developed by the TLTR, TAC and the University provided funding for Gannon to move forward to new course management software, ANGEL. During the academic year, the TLTR was ke= pt apprised of the various stages of the implementation process, training and support of the new ANGEL software.
      • R2Library – R2Library, the most recent addition to the library resources,= was demonstrated. R2Library is a series of medical e-books available thro= ugh the library web site.
      • E-Portfolio – The Education Department received funding to pilot an E-Portf= olio software system. After an evaluation of several vendors, Task Stream = was selected to use as software to pilot with the students.

      ·      =   All faculty appointments will remain = the same for 2007-2008 Academic Year. With the retirement of the Director of the Library, a new person will be representing the library.
