Gannon University Dial-In Service Information

 

In October 2004 we entered into a partnership with Velocity.Net to provide local dial-in service to all Gannon students, faculty and staff.  

To establish your dial-in connection through Velocity.Net please go to Gannon's Dial-up page at Velocity.Net:

- For installation & connection questions call Velocity. Net’s dedicated support line for Gannon Users at 814-835-2741  

- MAC users call Velocity.Net at 814-835-2741 for instructions

You will continue to call the Gannon HelpDesk at 814-871-7501 for questions concerning your Gannon account and remote access to Gannon’s systems.

Note:  Dial-in access to your network space and GU Share are now available at the myGannon portal from both the student resources, and faculty & staff resources tabs.

General Information

  • Gannon's Code of Conduct for the Use of Information Technology applies to all uses of University resources, including dial-in access. To review the policy, please click here.
  • Gannon's dial-in service is for the use of its faculty, staff and students in their academic endeavors.
  • Dial-in connections are subject to a 20 minute inactivity timeout and a 4 hour general timeout.
  • the PC’s dial-in setup must be changed to reflect a new password. After initiating a dial-in session, when the username/password window pops up, click on the password field and enter your updated password.  Click on OK.
