CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD IN DATATEL

When a Datatel user logs in for the first time and every 6 months thereafter, they must change their password. This document describes how to answer the prompts when this occurs.

The user logs into the Datatel system with their login and password as normal.

The system will inform the user that their password has expired and must now be changed.

The next prompt is: Enter Login Password

This is where the user needs to enter their OLD password again.

The user will then be prompted to enter a new password.

This is where the user needs determine their NEW password based on the Password Requirements below. Enter your NEW password CAREFULLY because it does not display on the screen for security reasons.

The user will then be prompted for verification, type in the NEW password again.

From this point forward, you will use your NEW password when you log into Datatel.
