  visual disability workstation
A workstation is available in Nash Library's Cyber Cafe for persons with visual disabilities. It includes:

1) A Scanner
2) Jaws (software that reads aloud text appearing on the monitor)
3) TextBridge (software that connects scanned items with JAWS)
4) Accessibility Wizard (allows one to select the font and imaging defaults in his Windows profile); note: this option is available on every networked computer with Windows at Gannon.

Authorization to use this workstation is determined by the Gannon PSLD and ADA coordinators. Unless informed that you are already authorized, you need to contact the ITS Department (with a Gannon PSLD or ADA representative's okay) in order to complete the process.

There are two people in the library that can help users with the workstation: Pam Anderson and Emmett Lombard. If needed, make an appointment for training or support. Call or email Pam at (814) 871-7456 and anderson001@gannon.edu, or Emmett at (814) 871-7553 and lombard002@gannon.edu. If they are unable to help, then they will contact Mike Bane in the ITS Department for further assistance.
