Gannon University offers a variety of scholarships, grants and awards in recognition of students’ academic and athletic accomplishments, demonstrated need and outstanding talents. These grants and scholarships are renewable each year based on criteria defined in our annual 'Important Information Regarding Financial Aid' (Final Award brochure) and related publications. The following is a list of the various types of institutional aid at Gannon.

The Schuster Memorial Music Award was endowed by William Schuster to encourage musicians to continue their creation of music at the college level as they pursue a degree in one of over 70 majors offered at Gannon. This scholarship rewards up to 15 qualified students for their music ability with $1,000 awarded annually, with the total value of $4,000 earned over four years at Gannon.

The Schuster family and Gannon University are proud to offer ten scholarships to qualified students who make written, performance or visual arts an integral part of their lives. William Schuster created an endowment for these scholarships in loving memory of his wife Frances, who was deeply committed to the Arts. Students who are awarded these scholarships receive $2,500 annually, with the total value of $10,000 earned over four years at Gannon.

Dr. James H. Delaney was a prominent Erie opthalmologist who bequeathed $2 million to help make medical school a reality for Gannon University graduates from Erie county (Pennsylvania).
The Delaney Medical Scholarship Fund, through Gannon, has awarded over $3 million. The average award presented for 2011-2012 academic year was $23,000, providing full tuition to medical school for five students. Individual scholarships ranged from $7,000 to $38,000.
